WVT which owns Alteva, a Broadsoft based Hosted UC company in Philly, moved over to the NYSE (symbol WVTCG). WVT's 3Q2012 numbers were also released.
"Cloud or unified communications ("UC") revenues net of eliminations (churn) were $3.6 million in third quarter 2012, an increase of 38% from $2.6 million compared to the same period last year and 11% from the second quarter 2012, while revenue from our Telephone segment declined 19% to $3.4 million." TDM revenue is being replaced by UC revenue at the moment.
Meanwhile, total revenue at WVT increased 3% over the same period last year. UC revenue is now WVTCG's largest segment at 51% of third quarter consolidated revenues.
One new addition for Alteva is the Grand opening of first Innovation Center for potential customers to experience Alteva unified communications solutions, located in new UC headquarters in Philadelphia. Showroom is better than DEMO!
In other Hosted PBX news, Bright House Networks, a Top 10 MSO, has signed an LOI with Telovations. Telovations is a Broadsoft based UC provider headquartered in Tampa, one of Bright Houses largest markets. BHN will utilize Telovations services to better serve the Enterprise space.
8x8 was added to Gartner's Magic Quadrant. 8x8 has seen its stock increase from just below $4 in June to over $6 now.
