Florida Senate Curbs Phone Rate Hike

Amid a jag of Starbucks fueled caffeine, "the Florida Senate approved a bill that would lock all future price increases in basic telephone service to inflation minus 1 percent, By a vote of 37-0. Without the measure, telephone companies would have been able to unilaterally increase prices by up to 20 percent annually, " because of the last telecom bill this same legislative body passed in 2003. Nice save guys! It's like the Bells had the puck on a break away but your goalie wasn't snoozing. (Go Lightning!)
