Think about this. Prior to 2001, most people paid $20 per month for Internet access, $30 for phone and about $48 for cable. Today, they pay $150 for triple play PLUS $58 for cell bills. It has more than doubled while household income has remained stagnant.
Most people only did Internet via dial-up at night. Today, with always on connections at home and on mobile, Internet use is way up. We pay dearly to be constantly connected - as a percent of household income.
