IT Spending should increase

Everyone says that IT Spending should increase this year. One reason is that the last big buying spree was 7 to 9 years ago -- Y2K. So that equipment is almost obsolete. Marc from Cantata pointed out that Gen Y employees have more computing power and bandwidth at home than they do at work (assuming NFL cities). It becomes a quandry to keep talent if they feel they work in an obsolete environment. (Sales tips there!) It has been pointed out that instead of top down selling for gadgets and software, much of it is being brought to the workplace by employees who have tried it at home. (Different sales strategy).
