Level 3 Communications Inc. reported a wider quarterly loss, as expenses rose and the telecommunications services provider's revenue climbed 71 percent. The company said it had a second-quarter loss of $201 million, or 23 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier loss of $188 million, or 27 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose to $1.53 billion from $894 million. This despite taking in $15M in revenue from Progress Telecom and $6M from ICG in June.
