VZ Selling Smaller Markets

In its bid to run FiOS only to profitable regions, VZ "is considering the sale of access lines in the New England states of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire as well as a group of access lines in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois." That's one way to promise to offer hi-speed broadband to all your customers --- sell the least profitable ones. Nice. Unfortunately, there aren't too many bidders for those lines.
