Telecomweb is reporting that "Vodafone is being advised that unless it gets top dollar for its stake in Verizon Wireless, it should not sell." VZ offered $38B for Vodafone's 45% stake in VZWireless, but Vodafone wants $50B. What a great time for a cable outfit (or a combo of cable outfits to buy the stake). "Verizon Wireless revenues grew 18.8 percent to $8.8 billion in 1Q06."
