DSL Skews all telecom

A bank wanted to connect 2 branches. Private line T1 from Sprint was $700. (It was Intra-LATA). $700?! But 3MB DSL is only $50? More and more, customers are confused by low-priced broadband offerings, especially when comparing them to traditional dedicated TDM services. Even Sprint is adding to the confusion:

DSL Cost vs. Dedicated Internet Access Services: Compared with a dedicated T1 service, for example, Sprint Business DSL can deliver T1-equivalent speeds at a fraction of the cost. T1 service is a dedicated point-to-point service that is a reliable mature technology that customers rely on for mission-critical applications. Sprint suggests that you always speak with one of our knowledgeable sales representatives when making a decision on dedicated T1 access.
