BellSouth's CTO Bill Smith is quoted in the
Washington Post discussing his plans to charge content providers for prioritized access to his network. This is similar to Angry Ed at SBC (I mean, AT&T), who wants to wall the garden. Luckily, the FCC says they have to wait 2 years. And the FCC is watching and will enforce that. What? They didn't put any enforcement in the order. Well, I'll be darned. I guess, I'll be using Yahoo since they have a deal with BST. Davied Isenburg has a
take on this here.
