Wireless E-mail Startups Are Toast

Venture capitalist Bill Burnham rips into wireless e-mail startups like Good Technology, Seven Networks, and Visto Software. He notes that just those three startups have so far raised a total of $516 million. Except these 3 companies are middleware software providers enabling wireless users to access M$ Exchange servers. Like everything Micro$oft does, it's first few versions were buggy crap; hence, how these firms were able to jump into the space. But as history repeats itself, M$ has figured it out - and Exchange servers won't need the middleware much longer. Ba-bye to yet more startups as a monopoly usurps your space.
