AT&T Merger Done - Is BellSouth next for SBC?

Light Reading, USA Today, Techdirt and Mike Cassidy are all predicting an SBC-BST merger announcement soon. The 2 BOCs have joint ownership in Cingular and YellowPages.com. Maybe that Joint Ownership isn't working, since Whitacre is an ass and Ackerman can't stand him. I'm sure when the 4 RBOCs get together for cigars and port, Ed makes some comments about buying Duane's little, lonely company. Duane probably responds by saying something about the windfalls BST gets from Cingular. I would like to think that the F-Agencies would say No, but in today's seemingly Quaalude infused Administration, it would probably sail through.
