There was an IPv6 World Trial day this past Monday. Apparently, hackers got in the way of some providers. But trouble was expected.
It is expected that ISP's won't be able to solve all the problems that consumers will face. The biggest hurdle will be gear that isn't IPV6 compliant, like the DSL modem, those blue home routers, some IP Phones, IAD's, etc. A quick test to see if the device is IPv6 enabled: http://test-ipv6.com/.
Concerned about #IPv6 security? Read NIST’s Excellent Guidelines on Secure Deployment of IPv6.
It's something to start thinking about now.
