Top 5 Carriers to Work With

These are the Top 5 Carriers I like working with:

  1. Level3 - good network at good rates, great support team
  2. AboveNet - fiber period. Great team.
  3. XO - good rates and a great team.
  4. Qwest - CyberCentre, transit and transport.
  5. VoIP Origination & Termination from both VoIP Innovations and PointOne.

Notable: Dash CS and WV Fiber.

The Hardest Carriers to work with are:

  1. AT&T - endless layers to work through
  2. Verizon - no one answers the phone
  3. VZB - limited ability to sell anything as an agent
  4. Sprint - really? 7 months to get pricing on the MVNO plans?
  5. NITEL -
  6. IKANO -
  7. Global Crossing

These are resellers that I can provision and quote from but haven't landed a deal with because the pricing wasn't right. (To be fair, I usually get beat by MSO rates, which are apples to oranges): ACC Business, Access2Go, AireSpring, Masergy, NetWolves, PNG, and TNCI.

These carriers I have just not done any biz with to date: CenturyLink, GSI (Global Solutions Inc. for auditing and TEM), InterNAP, New Edge (DSL), Savvis, Tele-Pacific, tw telecom, Windstream (formerly Nuvox) and PAETEC.

These companies all sell to the end-user, so if you need to reach clients out-of-market I can help with that: Cbeyond, Birch (POTS Reseller), Ernest (POTS), First Communications (TDM, LD), MetTel (POTS, VoIP, VZW cell), Hughes (satellite broadband), Primus and TW Cable.

A couple of things interesting to note about InterNAP. Besides selling a blended Internet bandwidth or specific IP routes, InterNAP has moved into managed services like managed firewall but also these 2 services called "The InterNAP difference":

Flow Control Platform™ (FCP) Solution: For customers looking for a premise-based solution, Internap offers its Flow Control Platform™ (FCP) solution, which intelligently routes traffic across multiple-ISP links to conform to a company’s performance and cost policies.

Advertising Services: This service provides a complete turn-key solution for the monetization of online media. These multi-faceted “live” and “on-demand” ad insertion and ad placement solutions include a full campaign management suite, inventory prediction tools, audience research and metrics, and extensive reporting features to effectively track ad campaigns in real-time.
