While we all hold our collective breath for Sprint's MVNO group to get back to me with pricing. (Hey, it took 4 months to get a conference call. I figured it would be 4 more months for pricing.)
Best Buy has signed up to resell wireless (cellular data service). CNET has some pricing charts here. "Monthly prices range from $29.99 to $59.99 for 250MB to 5GB of 3G data service."
The service is called Best Buy Connect and the portal requires a login.
"Earlier reports suggest the offering is actually based on Sprint's network, but rebranded specifically for the retailer." [source]
Note: it's 3G service with an unlocked data card.
Considering that Best Buy just dumped Speakereasy over to Megapath-Covad and the fact that Best Buy sells cellco services as an agent, do they think billing, fulfillment, etc. will be more margin? Crazy execs.
