Storage No Longer Free?

Google started charging for extra storage this week. Thebox.net and MyFabrik offer a free 1Gb, but charge beyond that. What is your storage strategy? Email storage takes up lots of space - and if you are not backing it up, what happens when you have a crash? Your clients will wonder what happened to their email archives / inbox / saved. Get ahead of it now. "All hard disk drives fail. The only question is when." This quote is from a TechRepublic article about hard drive recovery, especially Get Data Back from Runtime Software. I'll just add that Mozilla.org is looking at what to do with Thunderbird, my favorite email client. Google pays people $1 per download for Firefox. How about adding a link to T-Bird as well? You won't get paid, but you will be saving a wild bird of an email client.
