New Zealand Turning Off PSTN?

Telecomweb reports: "New Zealand may become the first country in the world to turn off its public switched telephone network (PSTN), instead relying entirely on a next generation network (NGN), xDSL and VoIP-based voice service, according to a document released by that country's government late last week.... As an aside, the Ministry also noted that, with the NGN, classic analog dial-up modems won't work.' [loss of dial-up]. I hope everyone is paying attention.
