Sprint spins off the wireline business to Embarq. The CEO's base pay is $1M.
"That contract, which Embarq assumed, included an annual target bonus of
$1.08 million, $3.8 million worth of restricted stock and a $600,000 signing
bonus. It ran through 2008, with one-year options after that."
A guy that has absolutely no imagination and has been given a clean slate to try some new things with a telecom industry in turmoil - he is just collecting a paycheck! Congrats Mr. Hesse on your huge salary for doing nothing new.
