Telecom Ripple Effect

"The logic is simple: Telecommunications carriers operate massive global networks that require huge amounts of expensive hardware. If the concentration of carriers leads to fewer companies operating fewer distinct networks, there'll be less need for equipment".... As I have stressed before, vendors that rely on ISPs and CLECs will soon be feeling the effects of the regulations, rulings and mergers. These hardware vendors SHOULD have been involved in the industry that their revenues rely on. Many will now have to sell hardware retail - a tough deal considering the big boys give hardware away.
