MVNO

MVNO (Mobile virtual network operators) is blowing up. Everyone is in the game. And most are riding the Sprint network. MVNO seems like UNE-P all over again. The MVNO like Amped, Virgin Mobile, ELN's Helio, Disney and ESPN, are basically buying bulk minutes from one (or all of) the Big 3 cellco's (Sprint, Cingular, VZW) and re-packaging it. Usually an MVNE is used to handle the back office of handset fulfillment, returns, billing, etc. The MVNO is just a marketing company. Isn't this what UNE-P model was? Didn't anyone learn from that? Maybe it's just about making the Benjamins while you can.
