VZ Slapped by VT PUC
AP reports from "MONTPELIER, Vt. --The Public Service Board ordered the Verizon phone company to cut rates by more than $8 million -- and perhaps as much as $15 million a year, faulting the company on deployment of broadband Internet service and other performance measures." VZ`asked for rate hikes and the PUC said try lowering rates. OR use th emoney to deploy broadband where you have not yet. OH, separate out your Yellow pages from your white pages phone directory or face another $7M reduction. Formerly, YP revenues were used to offset costs. Now, as a profit center, it is separating from VZ, so that the YP income is not included. Sneaky MFs got caught. Once.
