Telecom Liberation Movement

Interesting article on Forbes.com: "The U.S. phone business has been a hive of activity over the last few months as busy bee CEOs scramble to merge and acquire, building new companies in the face of increased competition from Internet-based communications. But all their efforts may be for naught if the queen bee doesn't approve. So on Wednesday, executives from six of the biggest U.S. telcos appeared before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to argue that no less than the future of American innovation, economic health and public safety depend on their mergers going through."
