Why Are They Buying VoIP?

You should probably have a page on your website that explains what VoIP is. And another page that explains what Hosted PBX is. Not the technical stuff, but the info that a business owner needs so that he is comfortable with the topic. And familiar with the benefit of buying VoIP from you.

Most articles I read state that "Cost is a major reason why small and medium businesses (SMBs) are switching from traditional phone systems to voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) systems, such as hosted IP PBX." I think it means that they get way more bang for the buck with Hosted PBX than premise-based.

If you are selling VoIP as a cheaper than, it might explain why your cash flow is off. The basic building blocks of voice may have migrated from TDM to VoIP, but the cost structure has not changed significantly. And with new taxes and fees being added by states, VoIP will cost almost as much as POTS. It has to be about Productivity and how it helps the business do more with less. Take the Technology out of it - and the CAPEX.

Here are a couple of added resources:

6 Q's to ask when researching business VoIP phone systems (Part 2)

  1. What do I need my phone system to do?
  2. Do I need VoIP to achieve my communication goals?
  3. Do I have enough bandwidth to implement VoIP?
  4. Is my network ready for a VoIP system?
  5. Will I need any analogue lines?
  6. What is Unified Communications...and do I need it?
