Broadband Throttling Gets Voice

This article about how ISP's throttle bandwidth allows an interesting perspective from the consumer. Most don't understand KBps versus Kbps. Most don't understand the "Best Effort" wording. (Maybe they will complain to Ford when their Mustang only gets 16 instead of 18 mpg). And the biggest complaint goes to: "I pay for unlimited 1MB; I want unlimited 1MB." This is a perception problem that needs to be addressed, maybe in the AUP with a required check box or initials. Also, as Joost and other video services start to load the pipe, it is a great time to move away from connectivity and more to Managed Services.
