BellSouth execs leave AT&T

I don't know if this is good or bad, but BellSouth execs are leaving the new at&t. My guess would be that they are cashing out their stock options and taking packages. Obviously, much of the "synergies" and cost savings will come from employee lay-offs.
No one in AT&T's top tier of leaders — those who report directly to Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre — is from BellSouth. The next level, however, includes two people with close ties to the former Atlanta-based company. They are Ralph de la Vega, group president for regional wireline operations, and Dick Anderson, group president for global business services. They report to AT&T Chief Operating Officer Randall Stephenson.
