VOIP testing & MOS

Minacom has an ad campaign for VoIP Testing and its interactive 1st line support for VoIP self-install users that it calls Zoey. Everything hinges on MOS. Minacom says: "Mean Opinion Score (MOS) is a key VoIP quality metric, attempting to capture the complex nature of speech quality in a single metric… but there are many ways to calculate and measure MOS, some of which don’t take into account the significant effects echo, delay, noise, call volume, and clipping have on user-perceived conversation-quality." Briz explains MOS here. [Thanks to Dustin for pointing out the importance of MOS, especially on fixed wireless systems.]
