CIO Magazine has an article: "With the acquisition of Siebel by Oracle, many of us are pondering the question, “Does this mean that CRM as we know it is dead?”" With open source SugarCRM, ASPs can offer medium businesses a more adaptive and flexible CRM solution. CRM is more than contact management software; it is a database of knowledge of your customer for all of your front facing employees to use - to benefit the customer. Internally, your CRM should let you know how often this client calls; is he paid up; what would be a good upsell. Do that for yourself and you customers.
