Intrado gets Bought!

The 911 service provider, Intrado, gets bought out by West. Who is West? No idea. "West Corporation provides communications solutions such as effective customer communications and relations, as well as tactics for driving greater revenue, to a number of the worlds largest companies." Intrado has been having trouble meeting the needs of its VOIP Provider clients in terms of actually rolling out nationwide E-911 service. So much so that some VOIP Providers have had to roll back offerings due to the inability to connect to E911. At the VOIP 2.0 show in Lauderdale last week, a client pointed out that CALEA and 911 were missing from all of the marketing crap of the numerous, faceless VOIP Providers. Only Dash 911 was there to discuss E-911. And DASH911 seems to be hitting their stride at just the right time.
